Hi, everyone! It has been a while since I wrote a blog post. I have been quite busy in 2018. I moved out of San Francisco after accepting a job offer (that unfortunately did not work out due to company budget cut). So now I am job hunting again. In the meantime, I have some time to make desserts and write blog posts.
These pixel heart cookies are extremely easy to decorate! I used a pixel heart cookie cutter to cut out the pixel heart shapes from sugar cookie dough, and then baked the cookies. After the cookies are completely cooled, I decorated the top with royal icing. I used 10-second royal icing consistency to decorate them. I usually default to 10-second royal icing consistency because it is the easiest to work with (imo).
I think I could’ve done a better job at decorating these cookies. However, this content was created last year. I’m sure that if I decorated them now, they would turn out better since my decorating skills have improved. Anyways, I still hope that you like it. Here is a video on how to do it yourself!
